Rancv 1000 Tablet ER is used for the management of angina (heart-related chest pain). It helps to prevent new attacks of angina but does not stop an acute attack, once started. It relieves chest pain by making the heart work more efficiently.
Rancv 1000 Tablet ER should be taken in the dose as advised by your doctor, at the same time each day. It should be taken with food to avoid stomach upset. Your doctor will decide how often you should take this medicine. This may change from time to time depending on how well it is working. You should take this medicine regularly to get the most benefit, even if you feel fine. It is preventing future harm. If you stop taking it, your chest pain may come back.
You can improve the health of your heart by making some lifestyle changes such as quitting smoking, cutting down on alcohol, eating well, taking regular exercise, and managing stress. Some common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, constipation, and weakness. Talk to your doctor if these bother you or do not go away.
Rancv 1000 Tablet ER may not suitable for some people. Tell your doctor if you are suffering from any liver or kidney problems. - Rancv 1000mg Tablet ER may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

- Rancv prevents new attacks of angina but does not stop an acute attack. Does not affect heart rate, blood pressure at rest or during exercise. Improves HbA1c and blood sugar levels in diabetes patients. Avoid driving or using machinery if you feel dizzy after taking Rancv. May produce changes in the ECG (QTc interval prolongation). It is recommended to get an ECG done 1 to 2 weeks after starting Rancv. Notify your doctor if you are taking any other medications along with Rancv

- What is Rancv extended-release(ER) tablet? : Rancv extended release (ER) means the pill is formulated in such a manner that the drug is released slowly over time and blood levels of a drug are more consistent. This has the advantage of taking fewer pills and also with a lesser gastrointestinal side effect.|Do Rancv and trimetazidine act in the same way? : No. Both Rancv and trimetazidine are used for the treatment of angina but they work by a different mechanism. Rancv works by blocking late sodium current channel during ischemia and thereby lessens the intracellular sodium and calcium overload. This relaxes heart muscles and decreases the oxygen requirement. This helps to prevent angina. Trimetazidine works by improves glucose utilisation of heart cells through inhibition of fatty acid metabolism.|What is the effect of Rancv in patients with coronary artery disease? : The researcher has studied Rancv in patients with non-ST-elevation coronary artery disease.
