HA2 Eye Drop is used before eye examinations and to treat an eye condition called uveitis. It acts by enlarging the pupil of the eyes and helps the doctor visualize the eye more closely. It reduces redness and swelling in the eyes after cataract surgery.
HA2 Eye Drop is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Refrain from touching the tip of the dropper to any surface to avoid contaminating the eye drops.
The common side effects include burning and stinging sensation immediately after application. These are usually temporary and resolve with time. Using HA2 Eye Drop can make your eyes more sensitive to light. Thus, wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from sunlight and other bright lights. Avoid driving right after using this medicine as it may cause blurring of the vision.

- Pregnancy interaction:
- HA2 Eye Drop may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
- Expert advice:
- Ha2 enlarges the pupil for eye examination and is commonly used in children It is also used to relieve eye inflammation (redness and swelling) and infection. Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after instilling the drop. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution. Stinging sensation may occur for 1-2 mins. Notify your doctor if it persists for longer. Make sure to use within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.

Hold the dropper close to the eye/ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid or ear. Wipe off extra liquid.
