Instantino 0.25mg Injection is an antiemetic medicine commonly used to control nausea and vomiting due to certain medical conditions like stomach upset. It is also used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused due to any surgery, cancer drug therapy or radiotherapy.
Instantino 0.25mg Injection will not relieve other side effects associated with cancer treatments. It is given under the supervision of a doctor and may be used alone or with other medications. Your doctor will give you the appropriate dose of the medicine depending on what you are taking it for. It is important that you keep having the injections until your doctor decides it is safe to stop them. After this, your doctor may prescribe tablets instead of the injections.
The most common side effects of taking this medicine include injection site pain, headache, and constipation. Dizziness and sleepiness may also occur, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. These symptoms should disappear when you stop taking the medicine. However, if these side effects bother you or do not go away, consult your doctor who may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing them.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have heart or liver problems or a blockage in your stomach or intestines. Also, tell your doctor about any other medicine you are using, especially medicines to treat epilepsy, heart problems, cancer, and depression. These may affect, or be affected by, this medicine. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, ask for advice from your healthcare team.

- Instantino 0.25mg Injection is probably safe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.

- Take Instantino 30 minutes before your food. If you vomit within 30 minutes after taking the Instantino, take the same amount again. If vomiting continues, check with your doctor. If Instantino is used for a short duration, for e.g. 6 -10 days, the risk of side-effects is minimal (well-tolerated). You can use oral disintegrating film/strip (medicated strip that dissolves when comes in contact with a wet surface) form of the Instantino if you are nauseous to swallow a tablet or capsule. If you are using Instantino in the form of oral disintegrating film/strip: Make sure your hands are dry. Immediately place the film/strip on the top of the tongue. The film/strip will dissolve in seconds and you can swallow it with your saliva. You do not need to drink water or other liquids to swallow the film/strip.
