TEAR DROPS 1% GEL contains Carboxymethylcellulose, which belongs to the group of medicines called Topical ophthalmic lubricants. It is used to manage dryness of the eye due to exposure to wind or sun and following a laser or cataract eye surgery. It is also used to protect the eyes from further irritation. The symptoms may include discomfort, irritation, burning, a foreign body sensation in the eye, etc.
Before using TEAR DROPS 1% GEL, inform your doctor if you wear contact lenses, as it is not recommended for use while using this medicine. The associated risks and benefits of using TEAR DROPS 1% GEL in children and pregnant and breastfeeding women are unclear.
The most common side effects of TEAR DROPS 1% GEL include stinging, burning, irritation or itching sensation of the eye, blurring of vision, etc. Consult your doctor immediately or visit a nearby hospital if any of the symptoms worsen.

- How to use:
- This medicine is for external use only.Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye/ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid or ear. Wipe off extra liquid.

- Tear Drops 1% Gel is a combination of two medicines: Carboxymethylcellulose and Oxychloro Complex. Carboxymethylcellulose is a lubricating medicine similar to natural tears. It provides temporary relief of burning and discomfort due to dryness of the eye. Oxychloro Complex is a preservative.
