P Thrin Cream is an antiparasitic medication. It is used to treat scabies, a condition where tiny insects infest and irritate your skin. This medicine works by killing the insects (mites) and their eggs.
Your doctor will explain how to use P Thrin Cream and how much you need. Read the instructions that come with the medicine to make sure you use it correctly. Your skin should be clean, dry, and cool before using it. Your whole body should be washed thoroughly 8-14 hours after you have used this medicine. Most people only need to use it once to treat their condition but, if a second application is needed, wait at least 7 days. Sometimes itching may last for a few weeks after treating scabies. This is probably an allergic reaction to dead mites and not a sign that the treatment has failed.
The most common side effects include mild burning, stinging, or tingling where the medicine is applied. Most side effects are usually mild and not everyone gets them.
Before using it, let your doctor know if you have any skin conditions or allergies to medicines, food, or other substances, or if you have asthma. Though this medicine is generally thought to be safe, you should ask for your doctor’s advice if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

- Pregnancy interaction:
- P Thrin Ointment is probably safe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
- Expert advice:
- Inform you doctor if you have any skin conditions or allergies to medicines, food or other substances, asthma, or if you have any other medical conditions. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes and wear gloves to avoid irritation to hands. If permethrin is accidentally introduced into the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Apply the medication on small part of the hair to ensure it does not affect colored or permed hair before application to entire head. Check hair for active infestation with lice or nits after one repetition of treatment after 14 days as you may be at risk of developing resistance to treatment. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding. It should not take if patient is allergic to permethrin or any ingredient of its ingredients. It should not given to children

- This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and gently massage the ointment. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

- Permethrin is a pyrethroid compound and it belongs to a class of medications called as Ectoparasiticides. It acts on the nervous system of variety of parasites including itch mite and head and pubic lice causing paralysis and death.
