DICARIS contains Levamisole which belongs to the group of medicines called Immune-modulating agents. It is used to treat parasitic infections and worm infections as well as steroid sensitive nephrotic syndrome (SSNS) (kidney disease). It is also used during and following treatment with prednisone or prednisolone.
Avoid consuming alcohol while taking DICARIS as it may cause severe headache, nausea, and vomiting. Your doctor may recommend you take relevant tests to understand your existing condition. DICARIS should be used with caution in patients with liver disease and kidney disease. Consult your doctor before taking DICARIS.
DICARIS is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women as it may pass through the breast milk. DICARIS should be used with caution in children and elderly patients. Consult your doctor before taking DICARIS. The most common side effects of taking DICARIS are nausea, vomiting, decreased appetite, diarrhoea, constipation, headache, stomach pain, nervousness and sleepiness. Consult your doctor if any of the symptom worsens.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:-
Take DICARIS as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

- Uses / Indications: Dicaris Adults 150mg Tablet is used in the treatment of parasitic worm infections.
You should avoid drinking alcohol, it can increase some of the side effects of levamisole.
- Pregnancy interaction:
- Dicaris Adults 150mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
- Expert advice:
- Do not receive live vaccines during treatment with levamisole.Take precautions while using levamisole as it can lower your immunity. Avoid contact with people who have colds, the flu, or other contagious disease and also who have recently been vaccinated with a live vaccine.Do not consume alcohol while taking levamisole as it may worsen the side effects.Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any one of the following serious side effects: difficulty breathing; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; decreased bone marrow function, extreme fatigue, fever, chills, or signs of infection; confusion or loss of consciousness, memory loss, muscle weakness, numbness or tingling; seizure, speech disturbances).Tell your doctor if you are or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
