Oncobleo 15Iu Injection falls under a category of drugs known as antineoplastic antibiotic. It treats types of cancer. It also prevents fluid accumulation in the chest that happens as a result of tumors. It functions by slowing down or stopping the growth of the cancerous cells.
On using Oncobleo 15Iu Injection you may experience side effects such as chills, reduced appetite, hair fall, clouded thoughts, mouth sores, fatigue, rapid weight loss, skin rash, itchiness, hives, redness, difficulty with speech or in breathing, lightheadedness, wheezing, feelings of numbness. If your reactions persist or worsen over time notify your physician immediately.
Before using this medication tell your doctor if: you are allergic to any of the ingredients contained within this medication, you are already taking any other medication, you have Raynaud phenomenon, you have liver/ kidney/ breathing/ blood vessel problems, you have any other allergies or you are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding a baby.
The dosage for this medication is determined by the doctor based on your age, medical history and current condition. The usual dose in adults for Cell Carcinoma is 0.25-0.50 units given intravenously/ intramuscularly/ subcutaneously once or twice a week.

- Uses / Indications: Oncobleo 15IU Injection is used in the treatment of cervical cancer, cancer of mouth, nasopharynx and paranasal sinuses, larynx, oesophagus and skin cancer.

- Pregnancy interaction:
- Oncobleo 15IU Injection is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
- Expert advice:
- Inform your doctor before taking bleomycin if you have severe heart disease, kidney problems, lung problems requiring use of oxygen, impaired liver function, and chicken pox or if you are about to undergo a surgery. Inform your doctor before taking bleomycin if you are taking other anticancer/cytotoxic drugs such as vinca alkaloids or cisplatin, drugs such as clozapine or if you have received radiation in the chest area. Seek immediate medical advice if you develop dry cough, breathlessness, rapid breathing or any other lung problems. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery after taking this drug as it may make you feel weak or tired. Tell your doctor if you are or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.

- Oncobleo 15IU Injection is an anti-cancer medication. It works by damaging the genetic material (DNA) of the cancer cells and stops their growth and multiplication.

Oncobleo may cause pulmonary fibrosis, nausea and hair loss. If you notice any such symptoms, please consult your doctor|How does Oncobleo cause pulmonary fibrosis? : Pulmonary fibrosis (scarring of the tissue of the lungs) is one of the side effects of Oncobleo. It is reportedly caused by lack of an enzyme that metabolises Oncobleo in the lungs.
