Tacvido Forte Oral Gel is a medicine used to treat oral lichen planus. It provides relief from inflammation caused by this disease. Tacvido Forte Oral Gel works by blocking calcineurin, an enzyme that activates T lymphocytes and causes inflammation associated with lichen planus.
Tacvido Forte Oral Gel should be applied on the site of lesion inside the mouth. Follow the doctor’s instruction and use it in the dose and duration suggested by the doctor. If you do not see an improvement in your symptoms after a week you should talk to your doctor.
It is a safe medicine with little or no side effects. However, it may cause transient burning sensation immediately after application. In general, it should not be used by anyone who has a weakened immune system.

Tacvido Forte Oral Gel belongs to a group of medicines known as immunosuppressive agents. It helps relieve inflammation associated with oral lichen planus. This medicine works by decreasing the production of certain chemicals that cause inflammation. Do not eat or drink for at least 30 minutes after application. Use it as prescribed to get the most benefit. If you see no improvement even after a week, talk to your doctor.
SIDE EFFECTS OF TACVIDO DENTAL GEL
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
- Uses / Indications: Tacvido Forte Oral Gel is used in the treatment of atopic dermatitis. It is usually used only after topical corticosteroids or emollients have not worked for you.

- Pregnancy interaction:
- Tacvido Forte Oral Gel may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
- Expert advice:
- Wash your hands before applying Tacvido. Apply a thin layer to the areas of skin affected by atopic dermatitis (eczema). Make sure your skin affected by atopic dermatitis (eczema) is completely dry especially after bath or shower. Limit sun exposure during treatment even when the medicine is not applied on the skin. Do not cover the skin being treated with bandages or dressings. You can wear normal clothing. Avoid getting Tacvido in the eyes or mouth. If the Tacvido gets on any of these areas, it should be thoroughly wiped off and/or rinsed off with water. Stop Tacvido when the signs and symptoms of atopic dermatitis (eczema) such as itching, rash, and redness go away or consult your doctor. Not recommended to be used for more than 6 weeks and if needed, treatment may be repeated with breaks in-between. Can’t be used if your immune system is weak (for example, if you have cancer or are taking steroids for a long time). Inform your doctor if you have any infection on your skin including chicken pox or herpes. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding. Many people see an improvement in their skin in as early as one week. Not recommended in children aged below 2 years.
